By Mary Macary
The end of the 2023-2024 school year is rapidly approaching, and with that, many people are curious about the seniors’ big day: Graduation! Just a few short months away, the Mount View Seniors will graduate on June 9th, 2024 at 1:00 pm. This will take place indoors in the gymnasium due to the fear of unpredictable weather for an outside graduation.
As for tickets, each senior will draw spots, during marching practice, for about eight seats each to see where their closest friends and family will be seated! Speaking of marching practice, for any seniors unaware, this will take place Wednesday, June 5th through Friday, June 7th at 8:30 am, just before graduation. Student attendance is mandatory in order to be a part of the graduation ceremony.
Be prepared and good luck to Mount View High School’s 2024 graduating class!
The Winter Dance on February 9th is now selling tickets! Tickets are available for sale at $5 per person. They are being sold every day this week during lunch! While you’re there, you can also purchase carnations for someone special to you at $2 per flower or $5 for three flowers! Don’t miss out on this opportunity to support the senior class and to have an opportunity to go to the upcoming dance.
The Mount View Senior class of 2024 is currently looking into many different places to go to for their Senior trip. Seniors have been asked to anonymously drop in different possible travel destinations for the trip. Senior photos were due on October 31st and Seniors are now being asked to sign a form to be able to get their diplomas. More information about this will be out soon.

May 9, 2023 / dcallahan / Comments Off on Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to all of our Mount View Teachers.
It is Teacher Appreciation Week, and we know that you have had some great teachers here at Mount View. Would you like to send a special shout-out to one or more of your teachers? Email it to us at Voicing the View (dcallahan@rsu3.org), and we will publish your messages below.
From Lexi Cluney
A teacher I would like to recognize for Teacher Appreciation Week is Mr. Basset. I had Mr. Basset for my Freshman, Junior, and Senior years, and I loved all the classes I took with him. He is very understanding and caring and really tries to make sure you’re set up for your life outside of high school. He’s very good at his job, and he makes all his classes fun and not as serious as other classes. I always looked forward to his classes because I knew it would be kind of a break from my other classes, where most of his classes have to do with you and are on your time. I appreciate the things he taught and did for me and would recommend taking his class if you can.
From Kelsea Doughty
A well-deserved shout-out to Mrs. Condon and Mrs. Hanagriff. Not only do they both teach many classes, most college level, but they also agreed to help the Senior class by being our advisors. Both Mrs. Hanagriff and Mrs. Condon have families and children of their own but still take any time they can to be there for their students as well. They both go out of their way to make sure their students are staying on track and if not, they will help get the student to where they need to be. Not only are they amazing teachers, but they have enjoyable personalities as well, though some of their jokes are a little outdated, especially Mrs. Hanagriff! I have been very grateful for having them both as teachers during my Senior year and will miss them after graduation.

Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women’s Day
This Friday, May 5th, which is tomorrow. We encourage everyone to wear red to show support and solidarity for Indigenous Women. In 2016, there were 5,712 reports of missing indigenous women and girls in the United States alone. Murder is the third leading cause of death of Native Women, so we would really love it if everyone tried their best to wear red to raise awareness of this cause and show all your support.
