On June 16th at 2:00 pm, three students from each of six high schools were chosen as Excellent Scholars in German. They were invited to the Governor’s Mansion (The Blaine House) for tea and refreshments. The six schools consisted of Cony High School, Erskine Academy, Maranacook, Mt. View High School, Thornton Academy, and York High School. Six seniors were chosen for the Outstanding Senior award. These seniors consisted of Ted Campbell, Kaiden Kelley, Allie LeBelle, Greta Ahlefeld, and Metis Tucker. There was a guest speaker named Stefan Sadecki who works as a language consultant at the Goethe-Institut in Boston(the national cultural institute of Germany). He is from Berlin Germany and taught German in Greece for many years, prior to moving to the United States in 2022.
The students chosen from Mt. View High School were Greta Ahlefeld, Nnenaya Bloomstein, and Isabelle Holt.
