MVHS Baseball and Softball squared off yesterday in a regular season matchup with St. Doms. It wasn’t a fortunate day for either team as both walked away with a loss. The Baseball game was a low-scoring affair ending in a 1-0 score in favor of St. Doms. Both teams combined only had 3 hits so it was a pretty defensive game with Senior Calvin Jewitt recording the only hit for Mt. View late in the game to avoid a no-hitter. The softball game was quite the contrary as St. Doms tallied more than 20 runs to Mt.View’s 7. Despite the outcome, it’s still early in the season for both teams, so this one loss doesn’t make or break the season. Both teams look to bounce back this weekend as they will take a long trip to Traip Academy for a doubleheader at 1pm.

The second track meet of the season is scheduled for Friday this week. The track team will make the journey to Camden Hills for a 3 o’clock meet.
